Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts includes classroom and hands-on experience that will prepare students for employment or continuing education in the food service industry.  Content such as food safety and sanitation, equipment, safety and security, culinary foundations and math, and an introduction to the hospitality industry are included in the course.  In addition, food preparation techniques are taught.  Any student who completes the program will be eligible to take the National ProStart Certificate of Achievement exam, which is a certification recognized in the food service industry nationwide.  Students have an opportunity to participate in the student organization FCCLA.
