FCCLA Brainstorming Meeting
The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
student organization at the Winston-Louisville Career & Technology Center
(WLCTC) met Monday afternoon.
FCCLA is a dynamic and effective national student organization
that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal,
family, work and societal issues.
Chapter projects focus on a variety of youth concerns, including
nutrition and fitness, career exploration, and peer pressure. Involvement in FCCLA offers members the
opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life –
planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal
communication – necessary in the home and workplace.
FCCCLA is the only in-school organization with the family as
its central focus. We have a national
membership of approximately 200,000 young men and women in 6,500 local
chapters. Local chapter membership is
available through the Culinary Arts program at the WLCTC. Please contact Mrs. Helen Black, advisor, at hblack@louisville.k12.ms.us
if you are interested in learning more about this fantastic student
organization.
