JMG presents Salad Table
One student at the WLCTC is putting her skills to good use in more than one class. Elizabeth Stokes, is taking Carpentry & Jobs for MS Grads (JMG). Mrs. Janice Hopkins, JMG instructor approached Mrs. Helen Black, the Culinary Arts teacher about working on a project together. This sparked Elizabeth's interest and she research a project that she could build in her Carpentry class that could benefit culinary arts. She came up with the salad table. Since it is portable, lightweight, and has excellent drainage, this table can make growing shallow growth salad items and herbs much easier. Mrs. Black was honored by this gift and said that this will definitely enjoy and use the plants she will grow in the salad table.
The students enjoyed a meal together and also were educated in the basics of proper etiquette by Mrs. Black.
